Community Fundraising
"Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving"
Fundraising offers the perfect teachable moment for children to learn what it means to impact the life of another person, help progress an important project, or make their mark on improving the world around them. As children become older, their ideas of philanthropy expand and their acts of helping and sharing increase with their new understanding of volunteerism and basic financial concepts.
Our childcare centre focuses on three key fundraising events per year, all causes that relate to the wellbeing and welfare of children. During these times we use these events to teach our children about the causes they are fundraising for:
Red Puppy Biscuit Day - Fundraising for blind children
Red Nose Day – Fundraising for research for seriously ill children
Loud Shirt Day - Fundraising for deaf children
