"The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences."

Loris Malaguzzi

As your child turns 3. they become ready to transition to the first pre-school room.  At this age group children are continuing to develop their communication skills and are supported to actively problem solve, work with their peers, become increasingly independent and take an active interest in the world around them.  The room is set up with a different array of resources to foster and support the ongoing development of curiosity, discovery and challenge that an inquisitive 3 years old requires.

At 4 years old your child will join the big pre-school room where a formal literacy and numeracy programme is available.  The focus in this room changes to more independent learning, meaning that social competence and the ability to adapt to a changing environment is key.  In preparing children for the next step we support our children to develop confidence, independence, communication and self-regulation skills giving them a bright start to formal learning.
